These terms govern your use of the TrackMyKid.lk website and mobile app (“TrackMyKid,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

What TrackMyKid is

TrackMyKid is a software platform that gives school transport operators tools to manage routes, drivers, students and fees, and gives parents visibility into their child's transport — live van tracking, absence reporting, fee payment, and messaging with the driver.

TrackMyKid is not a school transport operator. We do not own or operate the vehicles shown in the app, and we do not employ the drivers. The transport service itself is provided by the school transport operator you or your school has engaged; TrackMyKid provides the technology that connects you to it.

Eligibility and accounts

Accounts are created for parents, drivers, and school transport operator staff, and are intended for use by adults (18 and over). A child does not create or use their own TrackMyKid account — their transport information is managed by a parent and the operator. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.

Payments

Transport fees are charged through PayHere, a third-party payment processor. By making a payment in the app, you authorize that charge to your chosen payment method. TrackMyKid does not store your full card details — PayHere handles the payment directly. Fee amounts are set by your school transport operator, not by TrackMyKid. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

Service availability

We work to keep live tracking, notifications, and the rest of the app running reliably, but location tracking depends on a driver's device having GPS signal and a network connection, which we don't control. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and the app should not be relied on as the sole means of confirming a child's safety or whereabouts at any given moment.

Limitation of liability

Because TrackMyKid provides the tracking and coordination technology rather than the transport service itself, we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of a school transport operator or driver, including vehicle safety, route timing, or driver conduct. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrackMyKid is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Sri Lankan law.

Intellectual property

The TrackMyKid app, website, and their content, design and branding belong to TrackMyKid and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.

Termination

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or is used in a way that risks the security or integrity of the platform. You can ask to close your account at any time by contacting us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the “Last updated” date above.
